We believe that there is a powerful and vulnerable nexus between politics and the media; that filmmakers, musicians, writers and artists play an increasingly vital role in shaping public opinion and transforming politics.

Since 2006, we have hosted educational and production programs for students and citizens, to teach them how media tools can positively impact public policy decisions. Through coursework and hands-on projects, the Northwest Institute helps mature passions for social change into real projects and into professional-grade documentaries and into positive change.
